Episode 23 Season 5

The Leadership Leap: The Woman You Must Become Before Success Arrives

August 27, 20265 min read

"Success doesn't change you. It reveals who you've been becoming all along."

There comes a moment in every entrepreneur's journey where the goal stops being about the number.

It stops being about the promotion.
The income.
The title.
The recognition.

Instead, something much deeper happens.

You realize the real work isn't building the business.

It's becoming the woman who can hold it.

That realization is exactly what this week's episode of Mom Bosses Abroad is about.

For the first time, the spotlight is turned on me as I share, openly and honestly, what it's feels like to be running toward one of the biggest milestones in my business—not from a place of hustle, but from a place of alignment, trust and intentional leadership.

Because the truth is...

I don't actually want the rank.

I want the woman I become while earning it.

Every Number Represents a Family

From the outside, success in business often looks like numbers.

Revenue.
Sales.
Growth.
Promotions.

But I've stopped seeing it that way.

Every number has a heartbeat.

Every sale represents a family that decided to improve their health.

A mother who finally chose herself.

Parents who decided to create a healthier home.

Someone who said,

"I'm ready for something different."

When I think about reaching my next milestone, I don't picture a leaderboard.

I picture over one hundred products that will sit in homes around the world...

changing the quality of someone's water...
their sleep...
their skin...
their energy...
their children's future.

That changes everything.

Because when your focus shifts from selling to serving, business starts to feel completely different.

The Biggest Shift Wasn't Strategy...

It Was Identity.

Years ago, my businesses were built on hustle.

Long to-do lists.

Constant pressure.

Never feeling like I had done enough.

As a new mum, that model eventually broke me.

I realised I didn't want a successful business if it cost me being present with my children.

So this journey forced me to ask a different question:

What if success could actually feel peaceful?

That single question changed everything.

Today I still work incredibly hard.

But I no longer operate from urgency.

I operate from alignment.

And ironically...

I've become far more productive.

Why Pausing Can Be Your Greatest Business Strategy

This was probably one of the biggest lessons I shared in this episode.

We live in a culture that glorifies busyness.

The woman who's exhausted is applauded.

The entrepreneur who sleeps four hours is celebrated.

But what if that's backwards?

One of the most productive things I now intentionally schedule...

is rest.

A coffee with a friend.

A massage.

Time outside.

Quiet mornings.

Because every time I create space...

I come back with clearer ideas...

better conversations...

stronger creativity...

and far more magnetic energy.

People don't only respond to your words.

They respond to your energy.

And that energy can never be forced.

Leadership Isn't About Having All The Answers

One of the biggest mindset shifts I've experienced recently has surprised me.

I realised...

If I want to lead bigger people...

I have to become a bigger leader.

Not louder.

Not more successful.

More expanded.

That's why I've invested heavily into my own growth—not another sales course or marketing strategy, but an embodiment container focused on energetics, identity and leadership.

Because if I want to lead women creating extraordinary businesses...

I need the emotional capacity to hold them.

The wisdom to guide them.

The confidence to celebrate them.

Leadership isn't something you're handed.

It's something you continually grow into.

Activating Your Voice

One of the most vulnerable parts of this season has been learning to use my voice differently.

Not just on Instagram.

Not on podcasts.

But in my own life.

Learning to ask for help.

Learning to tell people what I'm building.

Learning to invite people into something that I genuinely believe could transform their lives.

For years I worried about being "too much."

Now I understand something different.

When you truly believe something can change someone's future...

staying quiet isn't humility.

It's withholding.

Sometimes leadership simply means having the courage to speak first.

Why This Business Feels Different

One of the biggest misconceptions around direct sales is that you're constantly under pressure.

Monthly targets.

Quotas.

Stress.

Fear of losing everything.

That was my previous experience too.

This business couldn't be more different.

There are no monthly quotas.

No pressure from anyone else.

The timeline I'm working towards?

I chose it.

Because I want to celebrate alongside our incredible community in Australia at the end of the year.

That's my decision.

Not someone else's.

That freedom changes everything.

Remember Your Why

As this episode came to a close, Iva asked me one final question:

"What advice would you give someone chasing a big goal?"

My answer came immediately.

Remember your why.

Because goals come and go.

Promotions happen.

Income grows.

But if you lose sight of why you started...

success can become surprisingly empty.

Every morning I remind myself:

This isn't about a rank.

It's about helping families.

Creating freedom.

Being present for my children.

Building legacy.

That's what keeps me moving.

Not pressure.

Purpose.

Final Thoughts

Whether you're building a business...

dreaming of starting one...

or simply trying to become the next version of yourself...

I hope this episode reminds you that the greatest transformation isn't external.

It's internal.

Success doesn't begin when you reach the milestone.

It begins the moment you decide to become the woman who can hold it.
